This page explains what data Memora uses, why, who it's shared with, and how you can ask us to fix or delete it.

Who's responsible

Memora is a service by Vortex Labs, based in Uruguay. For anything about your data, email us athola@memora.events.

What data we use

From the buyer:

• Your email and a password (stored so that no one, not even us, can read it).
• Your event details: the name, the date and the type of celebration.
• Your invitation's content: text, photos and music.

From your guests (added by the host, or by the guest when replying):

• Their name and how many people they're bringing.
• Whether they're coming, and any message they leave with their RSVP.
• The songs they suggest, and the photo and note they leave in the guest book.
• Their ID number, only if the host asks for it to check people in at the door.
• The time they arrived, when door check-in is used.

From anyone who uses the chat on memora.events: what they type in the conversation, so we can answer.

Payment details (your card) never go through Memora. The payment provider handles them.

Why we use it

Only to run the service: showing the invitation, recording RSVPs, building the seating plan, checking people in and keeping the guest book. We don't sell your data or your guests' data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

To work, Memora relies on these providers, who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase: the database and file storage (servers in the United States).
• Vercel: the servers that run the app (United States).
• dLocal: payments.
• Resend: sending emails.
• Google (Gemini): when you paste or upload a guest list, we use it to sort the list into names. That list goes through Google's AI service.
• Cloudflare (Turnstile): the check that keeps bots out of checkout.
• Vortex Labs (the site chat): the chat on memora.events, which uses an AI service to reply.

Several of these providers store or process data in the United States. By using Memora, you agree that your data and your guests' data are stored there so the service can work.

Your rights

You, and any of your guests, can ask us what data we hold, and have it corrected or deleted. Emailhola@memora.events and we'll reply within five business days, as required by Uruguay's Data Protection Law 18.331 (Articles 14 and 15). Checking your data is free.

How long we keep it

For as long as your event is available, which is up to 12 months after the event date. After that, we delete the event and your guests' data. If you or a guest asks us to delete data sooner, we do.

Cookies

We only use the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep bots out of checkout. No advertising or tracking cookies.
